Must Read: Comedienne Emmanuella, Crowned Princess Of Comedy In Australia
At the Afro -Australia Music & Movie Awards (AAMMA) in Sydney, Australia, the youngster bagged two awards for – Best new comedienne & Princess of Comedy.
With this honour, Emmanuella becomes the youngest recipient of the AAMMA awards since its inception. The organisers described Emanuella’s talent as simply phenomenal.
6-year-old Emanuella Samuel is a Primary 1(Basic One) student of Perfect International School, Port-Harcourt, Nigeria and has won many awards, including the G Influence Niger Delta- Special Talent Award in 2015.
Scrim Entertainment (owned by Daniel Okoduwa) established the AAMMA AWARDS to celebrate artists of African origin irrespective of borders or national identities.
Other AAMMA award recipients in the past include; Hollywood icon Vivica A Fox, Ramsey Nouah , Anne Kansiime , Desmond Elliot, Pascal Atuma , TUFACE Idibia , John Dumelo , Mercy Johnson , Monalisa Chinda , Awilo Longomba, Emerson Bockarie, Jimmy B, Ejike Asiegbu and many others.
Earlier this month, youngster, Emmanuella Samuel received an award from international video sharing website, YouTube, for her popular comedy video series, Mark Angel Comedy, in the Top Subscribed Creator Category at the Sub-Saharan African YouTube Awards.
The SSA YouTube Award which was the first-ever, handed out to 25 creators across 23 categories, and nominees were chosen based on the number of their subscribers.
YouTube said it was Google’s way of celebrating African creators and incredible achievements while also demonstrating its long-term commitment to the African continent.
YouTube’s Chief Executive Officer, Susan Wojcicki, said the award celebrates the talent and creativity of YouTube community while serving as a platform that shares Africa’s creativity with the rest of the world.
