Waec G.C.E Nov/Dec Exams Timetable Has Been Adjusts Because of Sallah Break

The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has bowed to the concerns of Muslim students to adjust the timetable of the ongoing November/ 2015 WASSC Examination for candidates.
The Head of National office of WAEC Mr. Charles Eguridu announced this on Wednesday in Abuja during a media parley with members of Education Correspondents of Nigeria (ECAN).
He said recently Muslim students had expressed concern on the timetable because some papers were scheduled between 2pm and 4pm and some before the end of Juma’at prayers.
In his words: “Our attention has been brought to this concern and we decided to effect some amendment in the ongoing WAEC timetable to address the concerns of our Muslim brothers.
“All the papers that were supposed to start within 2pm are to be moved forward. We are supposed to have exam on the 25th and that day has been declared Eid Kabir so we have decided to reschedule the exam meant for that day to 3rd October.”
New timetable
According to the new timetable, the Government 2 (Essay) and Government 1 (Objective) that were scheduled for 2.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. respectively on Friday, September 18 would now hold by 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. for the papers 2 and 1 on the same date.
The Mathematics (2 & 1) earlier scheduled for Friday, September 25, has been postponed to Saturday, October 10, with Paper 2 holding from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon and paper 1 would hold from 3.00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
